Hello, I'm Moataz. I'm 20 years old.
I'm from Gaza and live with my family—six brothers, my father. and my mother—who have been suffering under a blockade for years, and whose people have been subjected to genocide since October 7.
To this day, the aggression and bombing of our people in Gaza has not ceased, resulting in the bombing of our family home,
where my older brother was, leading to his martyrdom inside the house. This is in addition to all kinds of suffering,
torture, and violations. A slow death from hunger, thirst, displacement, the spread of disease,
and the inability to access any medical care.
There is also the constant threat of death due to the continuous bombing. Since the beginning of the war, we were displaced from our home in northern Gaza (Jabaliya) after it was completely destroyed.
We were displaced more than five times,
to Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, and Rafah, and then returned to Jamwasi Khan Younis again.
We paid everything we had to rebuild before the war, and the rest is debts from my relatives.
My family and I now live in inhumane conditions.
We lived on my father's income before it was destroyed,
and our life was wonderful. But because of the war,
everything was destroyed, leaving us with nothing in life.
Now I find myself in need of someone to help me and my family leave Gaza to continue my life.
It's unacceptable for me to stand idly by,
waiting for my turn to die.
